Nowadays, having your full body health checkup is the utmost necessity for all of us. As it helps in diagnosing and monitoring many health conditions. But, most of us have many queries regarding how we should get prepared for the full body health checkup. To solve your queries, here are the 5 steps which you can follow before going for the full body checkup.

5 preparations you should take before the test:

  • You are required to have ample amount of sleep before the test: Having a good quality sleep is very crucial before going for the whole body examination. For the proper blood flow and the muscle contraction of your body, it is necessary to have at least 6 hours of good quality sleep.
  • Watch your food intake: It is always recommended to fasten ( no drink and food except water) for about 8 to 12 hours before the full body checkup. To prevent any dehydration in this time period, only water is allowed.
  • Avoid eating fatty and salty food: Eating fatty and salty foods, in simple words, junk foods are not recommended to eat before the test, as it hampers the body’s blood sugar level.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol: Consuming alcohol generally is not good for your health. However, if you are going for the full body test, do not consume any alcohol the span of 24 hours before the test.
  • Do not do heavy workouts just before the test: Doing excessive workouts including cardio, weight lifting increases your pulse, heart rate and blood flow as well. Which is why it is recommended to avoid doing heavy workouts on that particular day.

Apart from that, it is also important to wear loose and comfortable clothes at the time for the full body checkup. This will hugely help the medical practitioner to collect the sample easily. For the women who are in their menstrual period, it is advisable to go for the test 4 days before or 4 days after you have had your previous menstrual period. Also, do not forget to carry your previous test reports if you have already been diagnosed with health complexities.
